For “The House of Fleetwood,” aimed at fans of Mick Fleetwood and Fleetwood Mac, I was instrumental in the design and build of a website that united all of Mick’s brands and ventures in one platform. The website has a modern e-commerce style with a throw-back vibe and includes a brief history of Fleetwood Mac and its members, introductions to Mick’s ventures, and links to learn more or make purchases. The site is built on WordPress, and I used Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop for the design. I wrote all the copy and did all the photo editing.
Mick was thrilled with the design and excited to make it live. However, as we were putting the finishing touches on the site, devastating wildfires tore through Maui. The project has been put on hold while Mick focuses his energy raising awareness and funds for the much-needed relief effort. The impact of the wildfires is still felt across the Maui community. If you’re interested in helping, you can make a donation to the Mick Fleetwood Foundation. Mick and his team are distributing all money collected to the places where it will have the most impact.
Mick’s House of Fleetwood is a new lifestyle brand by rock and roll icon and Fleetwood Mac founder, Mick Fleetwood. The Mick’s House of Fleetwood website was an online e-commerce venture created to compliment the Mick’s house of Fleetwood store, situated beneath his flagship restaurant, Fleetwood’s on Front St. Tailored for fans of Mick Fleetwood and Fleetwood Mac, the website blended modern e-commerce functionality with nostalgic elements, showcasing a range of unique products. Handling much of the design and build, I collaborated closely with Mick and his team. Utilizing WordPress, I employed Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop for design, while also crafting all the copy and conducting photo editing.
Mick was thrilled with the design and eager to launch. However, the onset of wildfires halted our plans. The project is presently paused as Mick devotes his efforts to wildfire relief in Maui, where the community continues to recover. To support these efforts, consider donating to the Mick Fleetwood Foundation, which channels all contributions to areas where they are most needed.
The project involves creating a legacy website dedicated to the legendary Christine McVie. This platform celebrates Christine McVie’s remarkable career and significant contributions to music through a comprehensive biography, detailed discography, and highlights of her memorable performances and collaborations. The website also aims to spotlight causes dear to Christine, with a particular focus on supporting MusiCares. Currently in the design phase, the displayed screenshot provides a glimpse of the evolving website and may not reflect the final version. Built on WordPress, I utilize Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma for design, ensuring every aspect reflects Christine McVie’s artistic essence. Additionally, I am responsible for all copywriting and photo editing, aiming to create a user-friendly and visually engaging experience for fans exploring Christine McVie’s musical journey.
Maui artist Gretchen Rhodes asked for help creating a dynamic and engaging website where she could connect with her fans. She also wanted a way for her fans to be able to keep up with her multiple projects – from her own band (The Gretchen Rhodes Band), to the front woman for Mick Fleetwood’s “Island Rumours Band”, to collaborations with music industry heavyweights like Steven Tyler, Willie K, Dave Mason, and Kenny Chesney.
Designed on WordPress with meticulous attention to detail using Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop, the website serves as a comprehensive platform for Gretchen to connect directly with her fanbase. It features a curated biography, showcasing her musical journey and collaborations, including appearances in Kenny Chesney’s music videos and her contribution to the track “Happy on the Hey Now (A Song for Kristi)”.
I handled all aspects of the project, from conceptual design to final execution, encompassing a modern take on old school folk album design, compelling copywriting, and polished photo editing. This ensures a visually captivating and user-friendly experience where fans can explore her latest releases, upcoming performances, and exclusive interactions. The website not only celebrates Gretchen Rhodes’ achievements but also amplifies her ongoing impact and artistic versatility in the music world.
Treecovery, Hawaii is a nonprofit formed in the wake of the devastating 2023 wildfires that tore through Maui, with a mission to restore and preserve the island’s trees, including the iconic banyan tree in Lahaina. The organization is dedicated to nurturing trees in the fire zones and distributing new ones, free of charge, to residents and businesses in Lahaina and Kula that lost theirs in the wildfires. They’ve also taken cuttings from the beloved Lahaina banyan tree, delivering them to resorts across the island to keep its legacy alive while the community rebuilds.
I have been entrusted with modernizing the Treecovery website, making it more user-friendly and visually compelling to better tell the story of their important work. My focus will be on enhancing the user experience, integrating e-commerce functionality, and improving mobile responsiveness. I’m also putting together marketing and social medial plans in order to generate awareness.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to Treecovery’s vital efforts by clicking here. All contributions go directly toward replanting and preserving Maui’s trees, helping the community recover and regrow.
